On an official mission to Kinshasa, the Governor of Kasaï Province, Master Crispin Mukendi Bukasa, signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday, November 17, 2025, with the Central Coordination Bureau (BCECO). The ceremony took place in the presence of the Director General of this state institution, Jean Mabi Mulumba.

This partnership marks a significant step forward in reviving infrastructure projects in the province of Kasaï. The governor justified this collaboration by highlighting BCECO’s proven expertise, particularly in implementing the Local Development Program for the 145 Territories, which has demonstrated tangible results across the country.

“Kasaï faces substantial structural delays in several key sectors. This memorandum of understanding aims to strengthen our implementation capacity in infrastructure development, with a special focus on roads, schools, and hospitals,” stated Crispin Mukendi.

BCECO, which operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance, will act as a delegated project manager for the targeted initiatives. These include the improvement of agricultural feeder roads, the construction of modern schools, and the development of healthcare infrastructure, in partnership with national and international donors.

This renewed momentum aligns with the provincial government’s ambition to equip Kasaï with strong and sustainable infrastructure capable of boosting the province’s economic and social development.
