The Ugandan government has called on citizens across the country to participate in the upcoming National Cleaning Day, scheduled for tomorrow.
Through this nationwide initiative, authorities are encouraging communities to come together and play their part in keeping Uganda clean, healthy and beautiful.
In a message ahead of the event, the government urged Ugandans to actively participate in cleaning activities and contribute to improving the environment in their communities.
“A Clean Uganda Starts With Each One of Us”
The government emphasized that maintaining a clean environment is a shared responsibility that requires the involvement of every citizen.
Authorities believe that clean communities can contribute to better living conditions, improved public health and a more attractive environment for residents and visitors.
Citizens are therefore encouraged to take part in community cleaning activities and adopt responsible waste-management practices beyond the National Cleaning Day itself.
Nationwide Mobilization for Cleaner Communities
The National Cleaning Day is intended to promote civic participation and raise awareness about sanitation, hygiene and environmental protection.
The initiative also provides an opportunity for communities to work together regardless of social or cultural differences. Keeping streets, public spaces, neighborhoods and communities clean is being presented as a collective responsibility.
The government is calling on Ugandans to come together tomorrow and contribute to building a cleaner, healthier and more beautiful Uganda.
Every Citizen Has a Role to Play
According to the government, efforts by public authorities alone cannot guarantee clean communities without active participation from citizens.
The message is clear: a clean Uganda starts with each individual.
The National Cleaning Day campaign is therefore expected to encourage Ugandans to make cleanliness and proper waste management part of their daily habits.
As the country prepares for the nationwide activity, authorities are urging everyone to participate and help make their communities cleaner and healthier.
