Infrastructure: Strategic Roads Underway

Development remains a central priority. The government has already funded the Tororo–Nagongela–Kisoko–Busulwe–Busaba road, a key route to improve mobility and boost the local economy.

Meanwhile, work continues on the Busia–Tororo road, another vital corridor for trade and exchange.

Health: Strengthening Medical Services

In terms of healthcare, significant improvements are planned. The health centers in Malaba, Iyolwa, and Paaya will be upgraded to Health Centre IV status, allowing them to offer more advanced services, including maternal care and emergency interventions.

In addition, several Health Centre II facilities will be modernized to ensure adequate healthcare coverage in all sub-counties currently lacking sufficient medical infrastructure.

Education: Ending School Fees in Public Schools

Regarding education, a firm reminder was given to authorities: school fees in public schools must be abolished.

Their continuation forces many children to drop out of school, jeopardizing the future of the youth. The government therefore emphasizes strict enforcement of free public education.
